About Us

Jatukik Providence Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to combating poverty in the Democratic Republic of Congo. JPF focuses on relief and sustainable development through community-based projects in health care, education, poverty alleviation, and conservation of the environment.

JPF was formed in 1999 as an outgrowth of the work of Father Jean-Claude Atusameso, who has dedicated his life to bringing hope and opportunity to his fellow citizens of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Through partnerships with local communities, donors, and governments, JPF delivers opportunities, knowledge, and resources to empower the Congolese people to shape their futures free of poverty.

Unlike other international development organizations, JPF’s staff is comprised almost exclusively of local Congolese with extensive linguistic, social, political and cultural know-how critical to navigating the local terrain. This allows us to deliver culturally sensitive development at a lower cost than other international nonprofits.

With a strong focus on long term, creative, effective and sustainable strategies, JPF has become a leader among local relief organizations. Through partnerships with local communities, donors, and governments, JPF is uniquely positioned to launch and expand effective programs that serve needy communities in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and provide for them a pathway out of poverty.

The foundation has headquarters in Washington, D.C. and Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo.
